Meghan’s dad has previously said he would “love” to walk her down the aisle, and is said to have “dedicated everything” to his daughter, and helped her “get to where she’s at today”.
Thomas Markle Jr. – Meghan Markle’s half brother – hit back in an interview revealing how particularly hurt their father will be, whom he described as “dedicated” to Meghan.
“My father will be extremely hurt, actually. He dedicated the majority of all his time and everything to her.”
“He made sure she had what she needed to be successful and get to where she’s at today,” he told the Daily Mail.
Meghan spent Christmas in Sandringham, Norfolk with the Royal family, breaking a previous royal rule which meant only spouses were allowed to attend.
However, it was not Meghan’s choice to spend Christmas there, but rather Harry’s comments about it on the radio that are said to have offended her father.
‘She’s done an absolutely amazing job,” he told listeners on the programme.
“She’s getting in there and it’s the family I suppose that she’s never had.’
But who exactly are Meghan Markle’s family, who are soon to become family in law to Prince Harry?
Meghan’s Markle half sister Samantha Grant has also hit back at Price Harry for his comments – adding “she always had this family”.
“Actually she [Meghan] has a large family who were always there with her and for her.”
“Meg’s family (our family) is complete with sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the glue of our family, our amazing completely self-sacrificing father,” she wrote on Twitter.
“She always had this family… Marrying merely extends it.”
Harry interviewed former US President Barack Obama on Radio 4 while guest editing the programme last Wednesday.
During the show, the Prince joked about whether Mr Obama had been invited to his wedding next May.
Harry said: “I don’t know about that, we haven’t even put the invite or the guest list together, who knows if he’s going to be invited or not.
“I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise,” the prince added.
